The Epic X series launched by Jacob & Co. at Baselworld in 2013 has become synonymous with an active lifestyle. Now, in 2017, it has been integrated into a new series: Epic X Chrono.
This new timepiece features a 47mm case and a skeletonized automatic dual composite chronograph. The Epic X Chrono has a column wheel and is part of the most refined high-end chronograph.
The core of the new Epic X Chrono model is the buy Jacob & Co. JCAA05 skeleton automatic chronograph movement. This high-end chronograph movement is equipped with guide wheels to activate the timing function. Its counter is arranged in the so-called “dual compax” format. The running time on the left is only a few seconds (nine o’clock), and the minute counter on the right is three o’clock (three o’clock).
Once the red rubber button (two o’clock) has activated the chronograph, the second hand will read from the second hand of the central red chronograph. As a practical additional feature, the internal rotating bezel of the Epic X Chrono can be controlled by pushing and turning the red rubber crown at ten o’clock, which will set the countdown timer. The movement has an automatic winding mechanism and a 48-hour power reserve. The transparent sapphire crystal back cover can appreciate its high-end finish.
The four models are characterized by the use of high-tech materials. Both watches made of 18K rose gold have a white ceramic bezel, a red or black rotating inner ring and a chronograph.
The fifth grade DLC titanium version shows the sporty style of this chronograph, with a red inner ring and red rubber buttons. The all-black model is equipped with a DLC-coated titanium alloy, a black ceramic bezel, and a contrasting red counter and buttons, with a motorsport appearance.
In all models, the skeleton movement can be seen through the red mineral crystal. In order to provide a customizable appearance, a variety of colors of natural rubber straps can be used: white, red and black with a honeycomb pattern.
The screw-in crown can ensure water resistance up to 200 meters, and the rubber element makes the Jacob & Co. chronograph sporty. High Quality Replica watches
