As far as famous timepieces are concerned, few brands can do better than Jacob & Co. luxury was originally established in 1986 as a jewelry company and began producing watches in 2002. Works such as Astronomia Solar and Epic SF 24 prove this point. This year, the brand launched perhaps one of the most exquisite and heinous watches to date, the Twin Turbo Furious. The name implies the speed at which its double tourbillon spins, but it doesn’t tell you that the double tourbillon is actually a three-axis tourbillon, and it also contains a decimal repeater, a single-button chronograph and an unusual Complex functions. Reference time difference. Let’s take a closer look at Twin Turbo Furious.
Twin Turbo Furious is the follow-up product of the Twin Turbo Twin three-axis tourbillon minute repeater (yes, its name will not roll off, will it?) launched in 2016. Like Twin Turbo, Twin Turbo anger appears in a modern rectangular case with a width of 57 mm, 52 mm from lug to lug, and 17 mm thick. The watch looks even bigger than the spec sheet suggests, because it is actually a large, curved sapphire crystal. People will notice this watch, I promise.
The most unusual aspect of the case must be the crown and accompanying crank. The crank can be removed from the case, which makes winding the watch easy and fun. On the other side of the case is the activator of the fractional minute repeater. The decimal minute repeater is different from the traditional minute repeater because its chime is tens of minutes instead of a quarter of an hour. This makes it easier to “listen” to the time.
The inflated dial is a murmur of various colors, dials and hands. The main dial is actually a smoked sapphire crystal with the Jacob & Co. logo. On the periphery is a red neoalithe ring with white Super-LumiNova hour and seconds hands. Continue to work, we have a bumpy board, which is part of the reference jet lag. This complication is used in conjunction with a chronograph to quickly indicate how many seconds the elapsed time is faster than the reference time. The reference time is set using the crown, up to 5 minutes 59 seconds can be set, which is indicated by the aperture at 6 o’clock on the main chronograph dial. In the figure above, the reference time is set to 1 minute and 56 seconds. After the chronograph stops, the owner can quickly check the elapsed time by reading the stopwatch second hand on the pit wheel.
Turning to the rest of the dial, we have the usual running seconds subdial at 9 o’clock and the chronograph minute hand at 3 o’clock. Below the chronograph are two three-axis tourbillons, which are connected by a differential, so the speed of each tourbillon is actually even. These tourbillons spin very fast, hence the name “Twin Turbo Furious“. The first axis rotates every 24 seconds, while the second axis rotates every 8 seconds, and finally, the third axis rotates once in 30 seconds. The tourbillon is constantly moving “violently”, and the end result is amazing. Between the two tourbillons is a power reserve indicator.
Contrary to what you might think, the dial is actually very easy to read. Admittedly, it’s messy, but the large red hour and minute hands with small red nibs and white Super-LumiNova help a lot in terms of clarity. The bigger problem is not to be attracted by these two rapidly spinning tourbillons.
The inside of the movement is Jacob & Co. movement JCFM05, which is visible through the sapphire glass back cover. It is the behemoth of the movement, with an astonishing 832 components and an unusual architecture. At the top is the hammer of the decimal point chronograph, and at the bottom is the column wheel of the chronograph. At the bottom of the movement are two golden hollow wheels for the tourbillon.
The movement is also highly decorated, including hand-beveled and polished plates and bridges, black polishing on multiple surfaces, round textures of wheels, barrels and plates, and polished gem counters. Speaking of jewelry, the movement has a total of 75 jewelry. swiss watches for sale
