2002: Royal Oak Concept
The system has withstood the test of time, takes root and becomes a part of our daily lives. Sometimes they rule us; sometimes they inspire us. Sometimes they will tremble, move or break. Surprisingly, 2002 was a year when many institutions were questioned. First, consider the European Union. 2002 was the year when the European Union adopted the euro as its official currency. A few months later, the other two institutions also changed: Swiss neutrality and the United Nations. After decades of isolation, the Swiss Confederation became a full member of the United Nations. Switzerland also witnessed the end of another institution that year: the national airline brand. To mislead the lyrics, “Stop calling me Swissair”. From now on, it is Switzerland.
At the same time, NATO, established as an institution to protect the West from Soviet Russia and its allies, saw Russia actually become one of its partners in January of the same year. For its part, Halle Berry became the first African-American to win an Oscar, thereby overturning the establishment of the Oscar. If there is a fashion agency, it must be Yves Saint Laurent. In January 2002, the founder’s retirement career ended. Another fashion legend André Courrèges also showed his last show. On the screen, “Star Wars” has been the center of attention since 1977-until 2002…until it was another literary classic based on J.R.R. Tolkien, “The Lord of the Rings”.
In sports, the agencies are Brazil, Lakers and Tiger Woods. All three have won the World Cup, the NBA championship and the U.S. Open. Porsche and Ferrari are two other large institutions worth mentioning here. Porsche changed gears and dared to launch a 4X4 called Cayenne, while Ferrari unveiled Enzo in Maranello, successfully paying tribute to its Commendatore. However, sometimes institutions will die. In the United Kingdom, the Queen’s mother died at the age of 101, and her position in this century is very important. All this means that the best watch of the year should represent the institution being challenged. The choice that followed was obvious: the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak concept car.
Why choose Audemars Piguet?
The replica Royal Oak is one of the most influential watches in the history of watchmaking. After seeing the light for the first time in 1972, the idea of this Gérald Genta (another good name for the company) turned a very primitive and appropriate world upside down. Sports watches become the most expensive steel timepieces ever made. With its bezel and one-piece bracelet, it has created a fashion benchmark and will remain the highest standard for gaming in 2020. The slim and sturdy style marks the arrival of sports fashion. Not only is it widely loved between men and women, it opens up a new possibility and breaks the institutional gap between men and women watches. The Royal Oak has brought watchmaking into the 21st century-30 years ahead of schedule. On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, Audemars Piguet decided to revise its star. Will the gambling be paid off?
Royal Oak Concept
In 2002, something strange happened to the 30-year-old Royal Oak. It underwent a revolution, which gave birth to the appropriately named concept. This piece perfectly demonstrates Audemars Piguet’s ability to challenge its own design spirit. The concept car looks like a Royal Oak, but it’s completely different-this is the magic. The case is made of a special alloy, with a brutal, angular, almost threatening design. As before, the strap is still integrated, but here it is made of rubber. The movement manufactured by Renaud & Papi includes a chronograph and tourbillon. It still has a unique bezel, making the timepiece firmly rooted in the Royal Oak series.
Demon advocates’ gains
Hell and the devil itself are thousands of years old, so what do you not like in the concept? Is there any problem with it? Well, I would love to see a three-handed version of this work; in my case, this will put it on the same level as the classic big sister. I think its positioning is too “exclusive”. In the end, this is proof of the brand’s motto: “To break the rules, you must first master the rules.” best fake watches
